Moon Mic The "Moon Mic" is the latest invention crave pointed toward satisfying the tastes of consumers of low frequency sound content at its best! The moon mic captures the low frequency spectra ranging from 10Hz to 200Hz for enhancement to your favorite dynamic and condenser mics. The moon mic provides a nice and perceivable finishing fill to typical application mics providing that kick of low end that could be akin to a tsunami wave. Most intended for kick drums, floor toms, and bass guitar... but who knows, the world has many surprises, and this product may find itself in front of many low frequency acoustic and woodwind instruments found in Asia, Australia, British Isles, and across Europe. Those who heard Foghat at the Detroit Riverfront Classic Rock Concert series, and some of the other Detroit concert activities such as the Detroit Jazz Festival 2009 heard the Moon Mic putting the low end to you, feeling a bit of chest pressure. This mic is being used on various recording project tracks as this is written. Several shows supported by Band-Ayd Sound Systems aptly engineered by Vic De Benedetti and crew featured the Moon Mic on kick drum applications. Collin Leijenaar uses Moon microphones on his "double kick" drum kit-- see detail pic below showing Moon mics in action!
The Moon Mic translates low frequency content with an 8 inch diameter diaphragm capsule as the central core of operation. Open end grille design as the inlet, a beautiful backside chrome dome to match the drum kit hardware and also be compatible to mount with current market drum stand and various other hardware. The Moon Mic also features a polarity switch for determining the best phasing with other mic usage.
